About us

There has been a veterinary surgery at this site since 2003, when the current Director, Mark Donaldson, purchased an existing dental surgery and fully refurbished and extended the premises to provide a comprehensive modern veterinary surgery.
Five years later Ringwood Veterinary Centre was launched, and is an accumulation of all the best parts of practices that Mark has observed during his 20 years as a small animal veterinarian. Our ongoing aim is to provide all of the care expected by loving owners and more, but to maintain the friendly, personalised village-type service that is so hard to find in our modern, busy world.
All our Veterinary Nurses are fully qualified and have many years of experience and dedication to their credit. Our Practice Administrator, herself a fully qualified veterinary nurse, is on hand to ensure clients have a warm welcome, and is available to discuss all aspects of pet care. She is committed to taking care of our client’s needs and will ensure your visit meets and exceeds your expectations.
As a natural part of our personalised policies, client communication is very important to us. We endeavour to keep owners informed at all stages, from explaining your pet’s problem and treatment options, to estimating the cost of procedures, obtaining your informed consent, and providing ongoing advice and support.
In addition, we can provide information on any area of your pet’s well-being, from routine flea and worm control, diets, vaccination, microchipping, insurance and neutering, to breeding and behavioural problems, such as noise phobias, separation anxiety or fear aggression.
Our facilities include full surgical, dental, ultrasound and radiology units with an on-site laboratory, and separate canine and feline wards. We have also developed a relationship with a range of specialists, all rapidly accessible should your pet need them.
We welcome pets of all shapes and sizes, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, small mammals, birds and poultry, and various less common exotic pets.
