Emergency care
Traditionally, our practice, like most others, has over the years provided all or most of our own after hours emergency cover. We are aware that you would prefer to see your own vet or doctor if the need arose.
However, this entails both a vet and a nurse to be on call overnight and at weekends, despite in all probability having already had a busy day, with the prospect of similar challenges for the next day.
As our practice has grown and we have become busier, we have not lost sight of our commitment to provide our clients and patients with the highest level of care. To prevent any drop in our high standards, Ringwood Veterinary Centre has arranged for the nationally acclaimed emergency group Vets Now to provide our after-hours cover.
Based at the PDSA PetAid hospital just past the Castlepoint shopping centre in Bournemouth, this dedicated group of emergency specialists are specifically trained to take care of any emergencies that may arise.
We feel that if we ourselves needed medical attention, we would prefer to be seen by a practitioner that had not been up all night! To ensure that you and your pet have the benefit of the full attention of an alert and enthusiastic team, day and night, Ringwood Veterinary Centre pays for this out of hours service. You are unlikely to need it, but it is there if you do.
Inpatients: Patients that require overnight hospitalisation, nursing and monitoring will not be moved to the emergency centre but will be cared for by ourselves onsite as usual.
