First Consultation: £34.00

We offer a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment service for your pets. Most practices allow just 10 minutes for the Veterinary Surgeon to:

  • take a full history,
  • perform a thorough clinical examination,
  • discuss the findings and treatment options,
  • perform any procedures such as microscopy that are required,
  • put up medications, and
  • enter the clinical history on the computer.

Because we believe that this important set of procedures is too important to rush, we allocate a full 15 minutes per consultation. This allows the tasks to be undertaken in an unhurried, thorough manner, allowing the client to fully describe their concerns and for the Veterinary Surgeon to fully explain disease processes and treatment options.

Subsequent Consultation: £30.24

As your pet is legally deemed to be under your Veterinary Surgeon’s care, unless a full and speedy recovery is considered certain, then you may be requested to make a subsequent consultation. Diseases and injuries do not always follow a set or predictable path, so during these consultations your pet will be thoroughly examined and reassessed and you will have the benefit of an updated treatment plan and peace of mind.

Microchip – Standard: £23.00, Biothermo: £29.00

Not all microchips are the same. Quality can vary but moreso can the aftercare service, should your pet need the services of the microchip database provider. In keeping with our policy of always offering you the best, we use chips backed by the industry’s leading manufacturers. In addition, we offer the Biothermo microchip which not only permanently identifies your pet, as all standard chips do, but when scanned, also reads out your pet’s body temperature. This negates the necessity of using less elegant methods of obtaining your pet’s temperature!

Kitten Vaccination Course: £68.00

We advise vaccination against feline ‘flu, enteritis and leukaemia. The course consists of 2 vaccinations 3 weeks apart, the first usually given at 9 weeks old. The course includes 2 full clinical examinations and extensive discussions on topics such as flea, tick and worm control, diets, training, behavior, microchipping, insurance and neutering.

Cat Booster: £42.00

The annual booster is a great time for your cat to receive a full clinical examination. Not only will his or her protection against feline ‘flu, enteritis and leukaemia be brought up to date, but the Veterinary Surgeon will be able to award a ‘clean bill of health’ or otherwise may be able to detect early warning of impending problems such as tartar build-up or a heart murmur, before they progress to become expensive or unmanageable ones. In addition your pet will benefit from an ongoing health plan that is individually tailored. This is an ideal time to discuss any concerns you have for your pet.

Puppy Vaccination Course: £55.00

The puppy primary vaccination course consists of 2 vaccinations 2 weeks apart, usually starting at 8 weeks old. As with kitten primary vaccinations, your pet will receive 2 full clinical examinations and you will receive (and have time to discuss) all the relevant information that is so important at this stage of your new friend’s life. This includes flea, tick and worm control, socialization, puppy parties and development checks, diets, behavior, insurance, microchipping and neutering.

Dog Booster: from £32.00

Again, as with the annual cat booster, this is an ideal time to have your companion fully examined and to discuss any potential concerns you have, or that are raised during the examination. A full 15 minutes is devoted to each appointment, so there will be ample time for your pet to receive a complete check-up and for you and your vet to discuss any pertinent matters. Your pet will receive the benefit of an ongoing health plan tailored specifically to him or her for your full peace of mind.

Rabbit Vaccination Course: £38.00

We recommend all rabbits from the age of 8 weeks old are vaccinated against both Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease. Both are in our area and are usually fatal. We advise the Myxomatosis vaccination to be given twice yearly, so a second vaccination for this should be administered every year, six months after the full course.

Neutering

The price of neutering includes:

  • premedication,
  • the most current anaesthetic agents,
  • full monitoring by a qualified veterinary nurse,
  • absorbable sutures (to speed wound healing, promote patient comfort and prevent the need for suture removal),
  • full pain relief including oral pain relief to take home where indicated, and
  • a post-operative check three days after surgery.
