Puppy parties and monthly development checks
A puppy’s character is largely fixed by the time they are 12 to 14 weeks old. By this time you need to have socialised your puppy if he or she is going to have a chance of growing into a pleasant and well-rounded companion. One of the problems of socialising your pup is that vaccines only become fully effective by the age of 11 weeks at the earliest.
To help get around this problem, we hold puppy parties so that your new friend can meet other puppies and people in a safe and controlled environment. For £30 (or £22.50 if you become a Healthy Pet Club member) you have the benefit of 2 parties, usually held at 12.30pm on a Saturday, where a nurse will present a programme consisting of a mixture of free play, organised games, and discussion on topics you, as a responsible new owner, need to be aware of.
In addition, the price includes monthly development checks up to the age of 6 months old. These are one-to-one consultations with a nurse, done during the week at your convenience, where your pup will receive a full head-to-tail check up and will have the correct flea and worm products administered (not included in fee). In addition, these 30 minute consultations are ideal times to discuss any issues that arise, such as diet, training, behaviour, neutering or insurance.
A lot happens in the first 6 months of a puppy's life, and you want to ensure the latest member of your family gets the best possible start!
