Repeat prescriptions

Prescriptions received via email before 2pm will be ready for collection after 2pm the following day. Any items ordered on a Friday will be ready for collection after 2pm the following Monday.

We can only prescribe and dispense prescription only medications (POMs) to ‘animals under our care’. Depending on the type of drug, the condition of the patient, and the length of time on the medication, an Assessment Consultation for Repeat Prescriptions (£32.50, correct at 1st June 2011) would be required every 3 to 6 months. Your pet’s annual health check would count as one of these consultations as a full review is part of your pet’s health check.

Prescriptions for internet pharmacies

With regards to advice on the safety of drugs obtained from internet pharmacies, please phone 01425 470474 to talk to a fully qualified veterinary nurse.

The prescription fee for external pharmacies is £14.40. This is in line with the Marsh Report, a government review on the cost and supply of veterinary pharmaceuticals. We are legally not able to supply prescriptions unless the patient is under our care, so the rules for repeat prescriptions as outlined above still apply.
